Certification of past Experiences (CPE)

CPE is method of assessment (leading to the award of credit) that considers whether a learner can demonstrate that they can meet the assessment requirements for a unit through the knowledge, understanding or skills that they already possess and so, do not need to develop these through a course of learning.

It enables the recognition of achievement from a range of activities using any valid assessment methodology.  Provided that the assessment requirements of a given unit or qualification have been met, the use of CPE is acceptable for accrediting a unit, units or a whole qualification.  Evidence of learning must be both valid and reliable.

Who can sit for a Certification of past Experiences (CPE) Assessment?

Anyone over 18 years of age who has had experience in the chosen trade/field can apply to sit the CPE Assessment.

How to Apply:

Fill up an application form and send it together with the copy of the cash paying in Slip obtained by any Peoples Bank Branch by making a payment of Rs. 1000/= as Application fee.

The examination fee has to be credited to the credit of St.Judy College of Vocational Education Sri Lanka Peoples Bank, Kalmunai, Account No. 023200180029094

The duly perfected application form together with the receipt should be sent to the following address under registered cover.
