First aid at work
Sri Lanka Factories (first aid) Regulations, No. 1 of 1995 (Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, 1995-11-10, No. 896/20) require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.
This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.It includes training on specific injuries and illnesses and is ideal for organisations whose needs assessment identifies a requirement for additional first aid training (e.g. due to having employees with a medical condition).
