Health and Safety Officer |
Health and Safety Officer (HSO) qualification taking the knowledge of best practices applied widely for process industries such as oil and gas, refinery, chemicals, plastics, pharmaceuticals and food etc.
This qualification is a blend of management skills to provide process safety knowledge and understanding of recognised industrial practices to managers, supervisors and safety professionals to allow them to manage their process safety responsibilities to prevent catastrophic accidents and near misses associated with loss of containment of energy or dangerous substances such as chemicals and hydrocarbons.

COURSE OBJECTIVES |
This programme will: -
- Provide in-depth professional knowledge and skills for sound and effective Occupational Safety and Health management practices
- Enhance the legal knowledge pertaining to Occupational Safety and Health and be acquainted with necessary know-how and techniques for performing various Occupational Safety and Health activities
- Create opportunities for career advancement and development in Occupational Safety and Health within an organisation

Entry Requirements: |
- 06 subjects passes in G.C.E. (O/L) with Simple passes (S) in Science & English
- Minimum 2 years experience in Industrial Occupational Safety and Health, or
- Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health

Certification |
Participants are required to meet the 80% course
attendance requirement to qualify to sit for examination. Participants who have attended at least 80% of the programme will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance and those who
pass the internal examination of this programme will
be awarded the Certificate for Occupational Safety and Health
Officer.
