Advanced Certificate for Nurse Assistant NVQ Level - 04

Nursing Assistant regularly works within the vast networks of medical providers. While working under the medical staff the important thing they must have is the communication skills as they have frequent correspondence with other staff. They have to keep in mind the objective is to provide up-to-the-moment care services to their patients. Certificate for Nurse Assistant NVQ Level - 03

Nurse  assistant Level 03 provide patient and resident care under the direct supervision of a  nurse. They assist patients and residents with activities of daily living, provide personal care and comfort, and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Nurse assistants perform tasks and procedures that meet hygiene, safety, comfort, nutrition, exercise and elimination needs. They assist with admitting and discharging patients and residents; make observations about patients' and residents' physical and mental status; measure vital signs, weight, and height; and promote psychological comfort. They also report and record according to agency policy.

Pharmacy Technician NVQ Level 04

The need for Pharmacy Technicians continues to grow with demand expected to increase substantially in the next several years in Sri Lanka. Technicians work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies and other healthcare settings. this course content includes: pharmacy medical terminology, the history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in multiple environments, pharmacy calculations and measurements, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Through classroom lecture and hands on labs, students will review dosage calculations, drug classifications, the “top 200 drugs”, I.V. flow rates,  compounding, dose conversions, aseptic technique, the handling of sterile products, total parental nutrition (TPN), dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - EMT + NVQ Level 04

The primary focus of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is to provide emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergency patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. EMTs perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. The EMT is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.
